Who We Are

APEC-PLUS™ is a division of the Maryland Society of Accountants comprised of its Executive Director, its Continuing Education Team and a Marketing Specialist. In 2002 the Continuing Education Team of the Maryland Society of Accountants, an approved CPE Provider since 1982, created CPE Barcode software, which expedited the process of recording, storing and tracking data for individuals attending the association's Group Live Continuing Education Classes. For almost 10 years, this software has proven effective in eliminating man-hours for recordkeeping, cutting paper consumption and reducing space for storing documentation of CPE credits earned in Group Live Seminars.

The IRS is discussing the possibility of requiring Continuing Education Providers to electronically submit course completion information of professional licensees who are governed by Circular 230. Because this possible requirement is on the IRS' radar, the APEC-PLUS™ division of MSA has decided that now is the time to market this proven software. The APEC –PLUS™ program will allow CPE Providers to not only save time and money NOW but also prepare for any FUTURE changes that may be implemented regarding the tracking and submission of CPE credits.
