An accomplished leader, organizer and advocator, Sandy Steinwedel was appointed the Executive Director of Maryland Society of Accountants in July 2010. Prior to this appointment, she served 23 years as MSA's Continuing Education Coordinator. In this position Sandy played a key role in keeping accountants and tax professionals abreast of the latest changes in both state and federal tax laws.

Sandy felt that MSA needed to develop a more efficient system, which would expedite the process of recording, storing and tracking data for individuals attending the association's Group Live Continuing Education Classes. This need resulted in the creation of the APEC-Plus™ software. She spearheaded the development of the APEC- PLUS™ software division of MSA.

Michael Blair owns and operates a full service CPA firm in Westminster, Maryland where he provides high quality accounting, tax, financial planning, and business consulting services to small and medium-sized businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region. Blair & Associates prides itself in being the go-to firm for small business.

Michael has been an active member in the Maryland Society of Accountants since 1998. He currently co-chairs the Marketing/Membership Committee. Michael has served as a member of the APEC-PLUS™ education team since its inception in 2002. He believes that investing in the efficient use of technology saves time and space and ultimately produces financial growth.
Charles Egender

Charles Egender earned a B.A in Accounting from the University of Baltimore in 1993. He is a practicing CPA in Belair, MD where he provides quality, personalized financial guidance to Maryland individuals and businesses.

Charles has been a dedicated member of the Maryland Society of Accountants (MSA) since 1996. He served as the society's president for the 2003-2004 year, and he has chaired the MSA Scholarship Foundation since 2006. He joined the Education Team of APEC-PLUS™ in 2000. Charles is also an active member of the Seminar Planning Committee of the Maryland Society of Accountants. Under his leadership, the educational seminars have excelled in meeting the needs of his fellow accounting professionals who seek personal growth and career advancement.
Joseph Palumbo

Joseph Palumbo owns and operates a small CPA firm in the Baltimore Maryland Area.  Joe Graduated from Towson University with a BS in Accounting and received his CPA license in 2002.  As a Sole Practitioner, he has been advising individuals and businesses on basic tax management and accounting issues as well as more in depth audits and financial planning. He serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Midtown Community Benefits District and is President of the Mount Royal Improvement Association. Since 2007, Joe has been an active member of the Maryland Society of Accountants' Personal Finance Planning Committee. This committee develops and hosts six annual seminars to assist the professional growth of Certified Financial Planners
